Hi, I’m Matt

Creativity has been a part of me for as long as I can remember—I’ve been sketching since I could hold a pencil and built my first website in my early teens. After earning a degree in Graphic Design, I launched my career at a marketing agency just outside London, England, where I gained valuable experience working with major global brands. But I soon realized my passion lay in working with grassroots projects—helping real people and local businesses rather than navigating the corporate world.

So, I took a leap, left my agency job, and set off on a journey that took me around the world, pursuing creative projects while building my own client base. In 2017, I made Canada my home and now live in the beautiful Kootenay’s, British Columbia, with my wife and daughter.

I partnered with Laura at Creston Valley Websites because our combined skills made us a powerful team. Laura has moved onto new ventures, but I'm continuing the work she started. I'm dedicated to providing the best web development services in the Kootenay’s —helping small businesses and entrepreneurs establish a strong digital presence that truly represents them.

Hi, I’m Laura.

Creston Valley Websites was born from my passion for supporting small, localized businesses and entrepreneurs. My creative journey started in college, where I studied Art and Design before emigrating to Canada in 2008. I then spent over seven years in the jewellery industry, gaining experience in production leadership and management.

In 2020, while on maternity leave, I turned to website design as a side gig—a way to challenge my creativity while balancing the demands of raising children. What began as a small venture quickly grew into a full-time passion. In 2022, my family and I relocated from Langley, BC, to Creston, a town that immediately felt like home. Having grown up in a small village in England, I felt a deep connection to Creston’s small producers, local businesses, and tight-knit community.

I partnered with Matt Clarke in 2024, another Creston resident with roots in England. Together, we brought a unique balance of web design and development, allowing us to better serve our clients with a broader range of services.

I left Creston Valley Websites in 2025, leaving it in the capable hands of Matt.
